Karlsruhe, Germany? Never heard! Here you go!

Karlsruhe can be reached very easily from three international airports, Frankfurt, Strasbourg and Stuttgart and in addition from a regional one, Baden Airpark, which is mainly served by Ryanair and well connected to the UK, to Spain and within Germany. Flights are very cheap.

Most international guests will probalby arrive in Frankfurt International Airport. Therefore, we are going to tell you briefly how to get from there to Karlsruhe.

Within the airport you will find a train station (Fernbahnhof). Just follow the signs of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) and the train station.

 After a 15-20 min walk starting from the baggage claim area you will arrive at the train station. You can buy a train ticket at one of the ticket machines. You can pay with Credit Cards. A ticket to Karlsruhe using the ICE fast train costs you 39,- Euro. You can also do the booking from home www.bahn.de. There are cheaper tickets, if you buy a few days in advance, but then you are restricted to the booked train. If you take the regular price, you are fully flexible which train to take. Then you will be on the safe side, if the plane arrives late.

Trains to Karlsruhe leave normally from platform 5 or 6.

Trains leave once per h. 8:53 am, 9:53 am etc. Every 2 h there will be a direct train, which take 1 h to arrive at Karlsruhe. There will be only one stop in Mannheim. If you don't get the direct train, the other ones will stop in Mannheim and you just cross the platform and take another train to Karlsruhe. It also takes in total 1 h and a few minutes.
